My family loves these, and I don’t make them nearly enough. The recipe is a really simple, it only take a few minutes to make and the results are always a hit. I hope you enjoy it if you try it. It serves four.

Brown the ground turkey. Add the onion and the seasonings. Cook until the liquid is almost evaporated. Add the soup, salsa, and ketchup stir until combined and simmer for 15 minutes. I like to serve them open faced with some cheese sprinkled over the top and a little squirt of mustard.

Cold and windy tonight, a good night for comfort food. This is what I came up with. I’m a dork though because I didn’t take a picture. Everyone here said it was delicious. Hope you try it.
My Bisquick Thingamajig
1 lb. ground turkey
1 onion
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp chili powder
4 oz. cream cheese
1 8 oz can green chilies
1 cup monterey jack cheese
1 1/2 cups milk
3 eggs
3/4 cup bisquick
Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 10-inch glass casserole dish with cooking spray. In 10-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in salt, pepper, and chili powder. Spread in pie plate. Open green chilies, drain, and sprinkle over cooked meat. Slice cream cheese into 8 strips and layover ground turkey. Sprinkle with cheese. In small bowl, stir remaining ingredients with fork or wire whisk until blended. Pour into pie plate. Bake about 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
